Dogs, Babies, and a Bit of Holiday Magic
Autumn Sessions 🍁
Autumn has to be our absolute favourite time of year for outdoor sessions, especially in the woods. There’s just something about the calm atmosphere, the variety of colours, and that satisfying crunch of crisp leaves underfoot (and falling from the trees!) that makes everything feel extra magical. The dogs always seem to love it too: all those smells and piles of leaves to dive into! Despite a fair few rainy days this year, we managed to dodge the showers and catch some perfect moments in between. The sun even decided to join us for a few sessions, which felt like a little reward for our patience!
A favourite session of ours was with two cheeky Border Collie pups, Norman and Nellie. Nellie’s definitely the wise one, keeping goofy Norman in line, though not always successfully 🤣 They had the best time exploring the woodland and racing through the leaves.
Another highlight was with Arlo and Marnie, two absolutely gorgeous Pomskies who might just be the best-behaved dogs we’ve ever photographed (including our own!). Total naturals in front of the camera, they gave us everything from calm, regal poses to hilarious “just throw the ball already!” faces.
Christmas Taster Sessions at Precious Paws: A Day of Festive Fur and Fun
The first of November saw us swapping autumn leaves for tinsel and treats as we hosted our Christmas taster sessions for dogs at Precious Paws in Middleton.
The atmosphere was full of holiday cheer (and a bit of dog hair, naturally). We were so impressed with how well-behaved everyone was this year. Only one little wee on the props, which, in our world, counts as a huge success! Want a tip? Don’t eat yellow snow, as they say!
We also had an extra, albeit much less hairy, model this time: toddler Elsie, who, like the rest of our canine audience, spent most of the session on all fours. She did a fabulous job keeping spirits high and sharing giggles between shots.

And now, for our superstar cast of the day:
Bella the Dalmatian, who totally rocked her Christmas jumper collection as a true festive fashionista.
Poppy the Cavachon. Diva and posing pro, who knew exactly how to work the camera.
Paddington, the too-cool-for-drool dude (see what we did there?), who strutted in with his signature calm confidence.
Mr Shelby & Winny, a dynamic duo if we ever saw one. Shelby was cool as a cucumber, while Winny went absolutely nuts over our snowball props ☃️
And last but not least, Bonnie, a sweet Spaniel Doodle, who started off shy but soon found her confidence. By the end, she was tail-wagging and camera-ready. We think she might have secretly enjoyed herself!

R.I.P. Rufus & Simba 🕊️
This is lovely Rufus, one of our Christmas stars from last year. We were heartbroken to hear that he and his brother Simba both passed away this year, leaving huge dog-shaped holes in Keith and Liz’s hearts. They’re so deeply missed, but we’ll always treasure the memories (and the photos) we made together. ❤️

Newborn Magic: Baby Saúl’s First Photoshoot
From Christmas chaos to newborn calm, our next session couldn’t have been more different! We had the absolute pleasure of photographing baby Saúl, the gorgeous new arrival of our dear friends Eva and Juan.
Saulito was, quite simply, a dream model. Possibly the calmest baby we’ve ever photographed. No tears, no messes, just pure adorableness. He let us try different props and sets without a fuss, posing like a natural (watch out, world!).
We captured some truly precious images that we know his parents will keep for decades to come. Whether Saúl will want to show his mates the photos when he’s a teenager is another question entirely… but for now, we’ll take the smiles while we can!

As we head towards the end of the year, we’d like to take a moment to wish all our friends, clients, and followers a very happy Thanksgiving.
We might not be American, but we’ve always loved this tradition of taking time to appreciate the good things (and, of course, there’s the small matter of pumpkin pie… who can resist that?).
On a more personal note, our beloved dog and company mascot, Vixie, has had quite the month herself. She underwent TPLO surgery a few weeks ago, and while there was a small hiccup with her scar healing, she’s now doing much better. The hardest part now? Convincing her she’s not ready for zoomies yet! Her enthusiasm definitely outpaces her recovery plan!
Thank you, as always, for following along with our adventures, both behind the lens and behind the scenes. We’re so grateful for every wagging tail, happy client, and the chance to do what we love every day.
