RAW Chronicles - September 2026
Hello, RAW community!
It’s been another lovely month here at RAW Photography Manchester, with plenty of dogs, familiar faces and a brilliant local event to keep us busy.
This month, we’re looking back at PAWS in the Park, revealing the lucky winner of our Grand Prize Draw and getting ready for something a little more festive as our Christmas dog taster sessions make their return 😉
PAWS In The Park Fun Dog Show – it’s a wrap!
Last week, we headed to Queen’s Park in Heywood for this year’s PAWS in the Park, organised by the wonderful team at PAWS.
After keeping a slightly nervous eye on the weather forecast, we were very pleased that it turned out to be nowhere near as bad as expected! Plenty of dog lovers still came along to enjoy the day, say hello and, of course, enter their doggos into the fun dog shows.
There were some fantastic entrants throughout the day, but a special mention goes to the Best in Show Millie, pictured on the right, and the runner-up, pictured on the left.
And finally, a huge congratulations to Max, who took home the title of Most Photogenic Dog!
As you can imagine, judging that category was no easy task with so many brilliant dogs to choose from, but Max’s ears just won us over 😂
A big thank you to everyone who came along, braved the slightly unpredictable weather and supported the amazing work that PAWS does. Events like this are always such a nice opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, meet lots of new ones and, naturally, spend the day surrounded by dogs.
It was also a pleasure to sponsor the event again alongside Wagmore Pet Boutique. If your dog deserves a treat- and we’re fairly sure they do- make sure you check out their delicious selection of dog treats.

Festive News: Christmas Taster Sessions Are Back!

We’re organising Christmas-themed studio sessions for dogs on 1st November at Precious Paws Doggy Daycare in Middleton M24 2AE!
For just £50 (early bird price only, till 3 October), you’ll get a 30-minute studio session with us on the setup of your choice (2 to choose from), as well as 3 x high-resolution, professionally retouched digital images of your furry friend.

Bookings will open on 19 September (17th for those lucky VIPs on our mailing list!) and time slots will be released progressively (capped at 12). We will take bookings on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure you book your spot early!

Here’s what you need to know:
When? 1st November 2026.
Where? Precious Paws Doggy Daycare, Unit 3 Associates House, Grimshaw Lane, Middleton, M24 2AE.
What’s included? A 30-minute festive studio session with your dog, plus 3 high-res, professionally retouched digital images, all for the early‑bird price of £50, running only until 3 October at midnight UK time. After that, the price increases to £60.
Book smart: Sessions are limited and will go fast. Full payment is required to secure your spot. If, for any reason, the event is cancelled due to low numbers, you’ll be fully refunded by 31st October at the latest. More info here.
